FCP P2 Import: lossy or 1:1?

i'm wondering if the P2 import feature of FCP is lossy or if the data is retained 100%.

Should just be a re-wrap from MXF to QT.

The video and audio are retained exactly as-is, so that's 1:1. But the metadata is discarded.
