Im still shooting test footage trying to dial in this xl2. yesterday i shot at a construction site filming some cat 637 scrapers. After viewing the film i swear it looks a little grainy, did i screw something up in my custom presets which i took from another user?

Sundance, check your gain setting and make sure it is at -3 for outside shooting (during the day that is).:)

Ok Pana Man, Back To The Drawing Board, Ill Do More Film Using Your Suggestion. I Figure That For What I Paid For This Xl2 It Should Give Some Kick A** Footage But I Realize With The Options/settings Its Capable Of Getting Them Set Correctly Will Give Me What Im Looking For, Appreciate All The Input From The Members.....

The XL2 is a great camera. And it can turn out some very nice pictures. You just have to really get in there and learn its settings. It's definitely not an "out of the box" camera in terms of its image optimization.:2vrolijk_08:
The XL2 can even do low light with little noise. Here's some footage I shot in a very low light setting.
