I must be hovering around 8-10 hours of editing per minute. :zombie_smiley: If only I could count how many clicks/buttons this took.

Surprisingly, I was able to do everything except for the super slow motion in Sony Vegas. That was done in After Effects.

Whatcha think?

Thanks

edit - renamed and changed a few little details.

good stuff. yea looks like it took a lot of cc and detail fx stuff that can definitely be tedious. nice job. they pay you good? maybe with one of those cars?

Your ADHD, ADD editing skills are far above par. Why does all your footage look so jerky though.? Shutter?

That´s some kick-ass-shi*. Awesome. :D

btw. where is this race track?

Maybe some more sound from the cars would have been nice. And some shooting out of one of the cars... to make it even more exciting.

That looks really clean, and yeah you can really tell you put a lot of time into your edit. Good work. I liked the highway shot at the end. You can really fly on that part of the road. :)

Can you share your settings? The footage looks fantastic.

Nothing special at all:

DETAIL LEVEL 0
V DETAIL LEVEL 0
DETAIL CORING 0
CHROMA LEVEL 0
CHROMA PHASE 0
COLOR TEMP 0
MASTER PED 0
A. IRIS LEVEL 0
GAMMA CINELIKE
KNEE (auto)
MATRIX CINELIKE
SKIN TONE DTL OFF
V DETAIL FREQ THIN
PROGRESSIVE 24p

I capture a pretty neutral image. It's the color grading that makes it what it is.

What'd you use for the super slow motion part?? Did you just use the built in time warp in after effects or use other software? And what was your shutter / framerate for that part?

BTW I thought the video was very well put together! Great job!

Time Remap w/pixel motion in After Effects 7.0 Pro. Shutter was at 1/500 and 24pA just like everything else was.

Thanks! :)

I think your video was very well done. I think this clearly shows a wide range of skills especially if you both shot and edited it?! This next thought might simply be taste, but you can think about it. How many different effects were there in your video. I have heard that you should only use 3 different fonts in a design before people start to get upset. When it comes to motion graphics I kind of feel the same way. If it were my piece I would have eliminated 2-3 of the effects out of your broad effects palette that you used. I especially like the photo snaps shots and light blur effect (ae cc light blur?). That said, again, great work.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback. You do have a point, but I guess you can say I was just trying to overwhelm people (for a lack of a better word) with fast cuts and many effects rather than make a more balanced video. I just wanted to show what I could do, editing it as if I were creating it for "that kid with ADD". I will keep that in mind for future projects though. It makes a lot of sense.

Thanks again,

Will

p.s. Everything but the slo-mo was done in Vegas, but I would have used cc light blur if I would have done it in ae.

Hey again, the feedback is coming from an untrained motion artist (myself). It could be just my taste. Thanks.
