DVX100-A headphone monitor level- Dissappeared!-none NIL-0!

Help

I can't get ANY audio out of the headphone monitor jack no matter what kind of earphone I plug in there..all day shoot in downtown LA and the ONLY choices I had was stop shooting my movie or continue and press my ear on the little speaker and listen the best I could...the mic levels were perfect..

Did I or my DP touch anything that disabled the audio monitor jack? (the speakers were at maximum volume level but I don't know of a way to control the audio monitor independently.

it worked fine this morning then something happened..the audio on our footage is fine though.

Thank you for any help /pointers/ideas.

Sincerely

You can control the audio volume level with the +/- buttons; perhaps when in recording mode someone held the "-" button down too long, thus silencing the headphone monitoring volume?

Either that, or the headphone jack went bad...

Thanks Barry..It was working this morning and then POOF! on a camera with only 42 hours of use..

I am into electronics (Ham Radio Op..), I am going to get in there in the hope that it's just a wire going to the jack that broke off..otherwise I am cooked

Pablo

PS you wouldn't happen to have the circuit diagram lying around would ya? :-)

If the camera is new, this would be a waranty job. Don't trash your waranty for somethign they coudl fix.

And be carefull about risking your camera, you can always monitor out of the RCAs if you have to.
