Hi guys,

I've recently started a post here asking all of you to go and watch my short film online and vote for me. Well, today, they announced the winners and I won the first prize ($1,000) along with 2 other great filmmakers. I of course wanted to win the Grand Prize ($10,000) but I am very thankful and happy with the result.

In case you haven't seen it yet, please visit www.Whatareyouin2.com and click on "watch the winning films" and you will see mine titled "Post-it Girl". I am glad that they FINALLY made it easy to view the films on this site.

It's shot with DVX100a with Letus35FE. You can also see the production still at "pic" section on www.myspace.com/wonderedby.

Please enjoy it and any comment would be so much appreciated! And last but not least, thank you very much to all of you who voted for me! Thanks!

looks pretty good man! just a question though, is there no way to get rid of the vignetting present in the letusFE ?

Ugafan:
yep! dvxusers are like a "movement" in a way. wouldn't you say so?

PaPa:
Thanks and I put vignette later during the post. there's not much vignette noticeably in letus.

Luis Caffesse:
Thanks!

Kyle Stebbins:
Thanks. Congrats to you too! No I haven't gotten a call yet since the first time when they called me to tell me I won.

One question. Did you see the 2@2 since the very first day of competition because if I am right, I remember seeing the video like 2 weeks into the competition. I was like where the heck is this come from, you know? I just want to know if it's only me.

bballplaya283:
Thank you.

No, I agree with you. It seemed like it was the exact same movie that won the comp last time but was thrown into the mix after the videos had already been analyzed. (Apparently none of ours fit the bill for the "Calvin Klein lifestyle" like it states in the terms agreement)

Oh well, 2@2 was a great film and is perfect for cK.
Ive been in touch with Dan Jahn, a representative for Lead Dog Advertising who is apparently the go-between for this particular event from cK. He told me the internal process of issuing winner checks has been initiated. I haven't gotten a phone call yet but he said he would check with someone named Coty about when I will get contacted.

I'm sure it will all work out. At least we have the email stating that we are entitled to the $1000... the law can play now. ;)
BTW, what is the name of the girl in your film?

What do you mean it seemed like it was the exact same movie that won the comp last time? Was there another CK comp last year? If that's what you mean and it's true, don't you think it's wrong to throw old one to a new mix just to give it a grand prize? I didn't see the movie anywhere else before but it's just that I saw it appeared out of blue like 2 weeks into the competition.

I mean I agree that 2@2 is a good movie and it really fits the whole CK vibe and everything but if what you said is true, i might have to ask Dan what's really going on here.

And yea, about getting rewards, I wouldn't worry. Sooner or later, a check will arrive at your door.

haha i mustve written something wrong earlier because A) im not saying its the exact same movie B) im not at all WORRIED about getting paid... and C) i dont want you to freak out with dan, haha. -- its just the same style as the last cK's winner. Yeah, its all over the site... you can view the other winners from the previous comp. -- you didnt catch that?

rock on

Great job on both of your shorts! Post-It Girl was fun to watch and the shot of her at the end was very food. I loved the simplicity in your short Kyle, it was right down to the point, fantastic message. Congrats!
