NAB 2006 - Las Vegas, Nevada - April 24-27

Jarred has an official DVXuser gathering planned, but I figured it's about time to get the ball rolling on who will be attending NAB this year. :)

NAB 2006 is just over 2 months away.

Who is planning on attending and when?
I presume a good place to meet DVXers is the Panny booth - C2518 [Hall C1] , but where else?
Some of us are working at booths.. Who? Where?

Me:
I'll be in Vegas for the whole week and at the show all day every day.
Best place to find me is at the Tiffen / Steadicam stand - SU2989 [Hall S4], but I'll also be dooing my best to cover most of the show too.


UPDATE!
There will be a DVXuser party on Monday and Tuesday at the Mirage - all memebers should have got an e-mail about this with details.

NBC usually sends me for one or two days. I'll be visiting the Sony booth, drooling over my PDW-F330. If I'm not there, I'll be visiting the Panasonic booth drooling over the HVX-XXX 2/3" camera.
 
oh yeah.. there will be one hell of a DVXuser meeting for NAB.. stay tuned for the details.
 
heh! This late in the game, I would have to pull a version of The Terminal and live at the airport for the show.

Not sure if I would even be back on my feet too well after surgery to make it this year. :(

Too bad, I've had a recurring dream that I am in some sort of convention, meeting people, but my name badge only reads "DVXuser". Everyone else has real names. But me, I gotta be generic. :D

(That GENERIC, NOT GERIATRIC!)
 
My intent is to drive up for 1 day and it can't be Monday. I'll make the decision on what day dependent upon what day is decided for the DVX get together.
 
I have 2 reasons to bump this thread..

1) I'm so freaking excited about NAB. I can't wait!

2) My NAB pass arrived in the mail today! (and that just makes me more excited!) One extra cool point; It's made to look like a P2 card! :)


Jarred, any news on the big party yet? Even just dates so we can plan accordingly?

I'm from Auburn, CA but want to return after the show on Thursday. Maybe Wed would be OK if it was in the afternoon. My son (6'5") is supposed to come as well.

I'm going to be at the show on Wednesday, and have a gig shooting in Vegas on Wednesday night. Doesn't look good for any other days yet. Maybe I'll get lucky and there'll be a Wednesday thing I can make.

Maybe I've missed something, but Jarred, has the big party info been released yet? My NAB week is beggining to fill up and DVXuser sure as hell gets a top spot once we know when it is!
