My first Music Video on HVX200

I actually didn't have any problem with the shooting. I thought it was all put together fine.

But if he does not want to be the typical rapper why is he rapping about getting ho's and money??? I'd suggest he start writing about things that he actually knows, things that are real, not just about all the crap he wants. Otherwise, he should go to college, get a business degree and go to work on Wall St. Those guys get WAY more ho's and blow than your average rapper.

P.S. - You might want to tell him that the Concord was retired 4 years ago. ;)

sure does, I have been searching for an optimal solution. Thanks Paul, You did GREAT work with the short time (4 1/2 hours) and a first time wannabe director, (ME).
I will get you the HD cut for your reel if you want.

I think you need more setups. Different locations.

As far as the rapping goes... anyone that knows rap/hip-hop or enjoys rap/hip-hop will instantly recognize his ability to ride the beat. He has a very good flow and his voice is legit.

But those same people enjoying those aspects will see right through those lyrics. The main reason Eminem was so successful was because he was able to make fun of himself. If you listen to his early stuff he's rapping about bangin' fat girls and geting STD's, doing mushrooms, etc... stuff a poor white kid could actually do. Getting Jets, Mabachs, and doing shoutouts to Jay-Z will never fly. That's been done and everyone's heard it.

Why not rap about your beat up Honda? It's funny and people will connect with the honesty.

Aurantaurant, thanks for the feedback on making videos, however, I'm not a rapper and swiss doesn't read this forum. It's a little unfair to compare anyone to Eminem, who is a troubled genious. With that said, our next video wil have more setups and is about global warming.

Without the benefit of this forum, I wouldn't even try.

Cheers,
Brian

Brian,

I really liked the parts where you have three sections going. The part at the beginning where you could see the needles moving and the two screens on top. That was cool.

I sense you're annoyed by my suggestions. My "feedback on making videos" is soley based on me seeing many many many music videos and comparing it to yours. Yours was missing more setups.

aurantaurant, I wasn't annoyed, I was serious when I said thanks. Many others have suggested more setups so you are right on target. I am suggesting that as far as lyrics, neither you nor I are his target audience. This video and the choice of song are only used to get attention from the powers that be so that he can make a "real" record, with whatever lyrics and beats they choose.

Thanks again,
Brian

Well If I'm 25 and into hip hop, then I'm definately his target audience. Especially if I'm familiar and supportive of the last 15 years of rap/hiphop. I'm not a rapper, but if i were, and still white, I'd do it with a self depricating sense of humor.

And maybe my dad owns a record label that has hip/hop rap artists... and im familiar with what sells. Maybe.

The reason why I say this is because the above sells way better than "Hard Core Hip Hop, Gangster, White Kid."

It's sad because the kid obviously has talent, but I'm afraid the lyrical content will ultimately not sell. And if it does I'll eat my socks and shoes. But my money is on the truth. And nobody will believe him.

Someone will eventually write his lyrics for him? There aren't very man rappers that aren't writing their own rhymes right now. And if you know some names please tell me.

I'm off on a tangent, but I've seen thousands of kids like this. This advice is free and you can ignore if you want.

Ok we know if there had been Other locations it would of made out even better.
