can't automaticly make clips when importing in FCP

does any one know where and how to set up , to make clips automaticly organice when importing in FCP??
some how i got a 60mins long clips when trying to import file from my HVX200.

You really need to explain exactly what you are doing with what computer and version of FCP

hello David , i am using Intel Imac with Fcp 6.0 , i had no prob. with my sony Z1 when i am importing video footage from DV, it will always make clips for every shoots , but some how my HVX doesn't , it just give me a 60mins long footage with out any break. is it anything wrong with my setting?

I am not entirely certain of the answer, but I would start here:

FCP menu>Mark>DV start stop detect

are you using the log and tarnsfer function?
also are you recording P2 or FS-100?

start stop detection isn't for DVCProHD.

what p2 card size and what settings are you using?
