How long to download from a full FS100

I have clients who claim it takes 32 hours to download a full FS100 into their systems! Surely they are doing something wrong?

They are using F/wire

They claim to have used the P2 Organise function.

Maybe if they are transcoding the material on the fly to something highly compressed like HDV. Sounds like pilot error to me.

It's a hundred gigabyte hard disk. Transferring to another hard disk through firewire, they should get at least 30 megabytes per second, maybe 40 megabytes per second, so (mathematically, not real-world-observed) they should get the transfer done in around 40 minutes.

yes, Barry is right...it could take a little more if you're from the FS100 to a Hard disk by USB but not that long also...
