fs-100 import 720 24p rendering problem

I'm importing from firestore 100 to latest version of FCP, shot on hvx200 at 720 24p. I'm following the instructions, organizing, etc, selecting delete duplicate frames. It still requires me to render all clips. Any suggestions? All sequence settings are correct.
 
Could you explain what "it" is that requires you to render?

If you saying the clips, when placed in a FCP sequence require rendering, this invariably means that the clip attributes do not match the sequence settings.

Check both and change the sequence to match the clip format.

The clips do match. That's what is so weird. All settings are for 720 24p. The "it" is FCP. When I place the clip on the timeline it requires rendering.
 
This should be your workflow:

FS-100 with firmware rev 3.0 set to Quicktime PN OR P2 PN
HVX set to 24p
FCP easy set up DVCPRO HD 23.98

Import into FCP
UNCHECK remove duplicate frames

As Ned says, v.3 will strip out redundant frames on the fly so when importng pN files, do not check remove redundant frames.

This won't apply when you merely capture QT PN
