Now where did you buy your HVX?

I know this has been covered many times before but I wanted to get everyone's current opinion.

Does anyone know who has the HVX200 in stock?

I plan on buying my second one on Thursday and I called BH and they are backordered. (I bought my first one from them).

for the newer buyers, where did you get your HVX?

I bought my HVX200 from Shawn Tallard at Full Compass, but I couldn't tell you if they have any in stock -- the website says "Call for availability":

I'm really not sure.

I called them a few days after they posted here saying they had a few available. They held one for me over night and I got it Friday morning. It's worth a call to them if you need it though.
 
I'd recommend Full Compass too. Received HVX two days after ordering. Plus Shawn replies to every email very thoroughly, and with haste.
 
Yeah, Shawn is a class act, very proactive and conscientuous about following up on details. He has personally e-mailed me tracking numbers and estimated shipping dates for backordered items for the orders I have placed with him. :thumbup:

G&G Video. this was shortly after they first started shipping and were hard to get. I got mine in about a wwek back then and I'm pretty sure they have them in stock now. They're located in Secaucus, NJ...about 2 miles form Panasonic's Jersey offices.

Hurry, though...looks like there's a rebate offer that expires on June 30.

mine might have been off "grey-market" i bought off ebay last year a little bit after it came out, off some online store called digital goodies. they were some shop in brooklyn. it was a bit shady because a week after i ordered it, it was supposed to come, but no it did not. then week after week i would call in and they would say "you should be getting it soon" so basically after a month, i finally received it and it works great.

i looked online for them a few months ago, but not really any trace of them, as if they never existed. but supposively they were apart of a ring of scammers. i got lucky in which they actually sent me mine. im kickin myself though for not ordering any P2 cards with it. but back then they were crazy expensive. thank god i didnt get cheated, but for that month i felt like i was.
 
Also check out Videotex Systems in Dallas and ask for Barak Epstein. Excellent dealer (authorized, of course). Don't know what their stock situation is now.
