Another Shannon W. Rawls @ Cinema Hill production for ya....

Directed & Edited by my man "MO". Captured in a few days with one of my "B" XL-H1 here in Los Angeles with a few excellent crew people I found & hired from www.IndustryGigs.com.

Downloadable in: ipod - Small - Medium - Large - HD (480p)
EDIT: NOW ONLY AVAILABLE IN WEB FLASH VERSION

No in-camera color tampering on this one. All correction was done with your basic Apple&Adobe tools.

p.s.
don't be alarmed when you see the 3 stock footage clips we borrowed from a popular movie, LOL. we promise to give them back when we get the money to shoot it ourselves. *smile*

HDV or SDI?
20x + 6x lenses, or 35mm adapter?
Audio from camera or external device?

Loved the look and professional quality of the trailer. Very nice, Shannon!

HDV
Stock 20x lens
No adapters.
Not even a filter. All shot flat. Might as well pulled a new camera out of the box.

Thanks for the compliment Zack.

As I told others on xlcinema.com, currently we always only shoot to tape, convert to AIC and finish from there. I leave the hd-sdi/uncompressed/transcoding stuff to the internet-dp's & the purists who have extra cash to throw around for a quality difference nobody will ever see in the end.

Wow Shannon!
I'm thoroughly impressed! Very professional.
Great screen directing, cinematography, acting, producing -- didn't feel like an 8 minute trailer! Simply loved the work done here.

Yo Shannon, I'm a filmmker from Newark, NJ and been contemplating which camera i'm going to use for my next short...that trailer is tight!! I'm using the XL-H1...great job!

Roberto Lopez

That looked great! Too bad it's just to promote an event and not a real movie. The editing, cinematography and color correction were on point, it looked really pro and had a real Tony Scott vibe going on! I didn't notice a lack of depth of field at all if there was one, I am really impressed. I would love to see a b4 and after cc compairison frames if you can put them up because it's crazy for out of the box!

PS: Shannon is that you cameoing saying "stand down"?

lol by the way what do you guys use for audio? It sounds really good. I'm trying to get a level of professionality going like yours as far as the end results go(and your end result is amazing), except I'm poorer so I'm using the XH-A1 so I'd love to know what equipment you use.

Audio was done in Final Cut Pro with a touch of Pro Tools. Really, the genius behind the sound design is Marques. He would have made it sound good if you gave him a fisher price toy to work with.

Yeah but what about mic wise? If you don't wanna tell everyone what you guys use you could PM me your equipment list, if you want. I'm in Canada so we wouldn't be competing for jobs lol. But if you don't or can't that's cool too. I'm just doing research right now into everything and any help would be appreciated.

Same ol' Shannon. I love it.
You're only allowed to talk smack because your work backs it up.

Nice Job.
Looks great, sounds great.
I'd expect nothing less.

Man I hate to sound rude but I hate the colors completely. It feels like I'm at a funeral or something. Its like black and blue or something? The acting is pretty bad too, and I feel horrible for saying this. I do believe you have great talent, that isn't something anyone here can pull off, but its just...I don't know, sorry man.

Honesty is the best thing any filmmaker can receive. Thanks.
