what codec are you guys outputting your 1080P footage to for playback on 1080P lcds? I was using MPEG with canopus, but to my suprise when i play the footage back my computers CPU chokes.... mpeg is a heavy codec, is there anything that does NICE almost raw 1080p without making your computer cpu lock up?

i got a dual core 3.6ghz.

The G1 and A1 are both 1080i. Are you needing to know how to blend fields and try to create a 60p look?

Actually they're 1080p with 24F or 30F mode. He wants to know how to render footages in a codec that computers can handle. I don't know the answer either. Usually I render them out as .wmv but the files play choppily on lower end to mid range computers.

who--you might try QT codeds-- apple intermediate codec or photojpeg, if we're talking about smooth playback, but not necessarily distribution data rates. If you want low data rate and decent quality, have you tried divx? I've had really good results with it, on a Mac no less.

DivX is my favourite codec ever. Seems to do everything well, and never dies in outputting like so many others.
