Funny, I spoke with avalive at noon today. They said the Panasonic rep was in this morning and said definitely end of June for 16Gb card ship date.

Does anybody know what the "R series" means thats on the front of the 16gb card?

The 2GB card didn't have a name on it, I think. The 4GB and 8GB were "H" series. The new ones are "R". I don't really know what it means, but the manufacturing process was changed for the 16s, so whatever they changed is what led to there being a reclassification to "R" series.

The wing on the card also gives it extra horsepower, and successfully downforces the card....lolz

Well, this is my first post at this site (although I've been reading since March). I bought a HVX200 in February and haven't heard a word about my P2 card and Barry's book since from them (I'm looking forward to both). I did suspect that they'd send a 16 gig since the announcement and was glad to see you got a letter confirming that. Good Luck.

Ironic...we get everything later here in Oz, but we've had a decent number of 16Gb cards arrive (for a small market). I just can't bring myself to spend an extra $350au, so I guess I'll wait till stock levels are healthy in the US.
