Fresh thread.

It's been years since the last Portland DVXUser meetup and many people (myself included) have joined since then. I propose we meet on some evening in late March. If you would like to come, please reply to this thread, that way I'll know who to invite. Ryan Walters (235Studios) has offered the use of his house in Gresham as a meeting place. His livingroom/kitchen area or garage could hold like a dozen'ish. If we get really huge either someone else will need to step up to the plate or we can move it to one of Portland's great brewpubs (mmm, beer and filmmaking). Though a house is preferable so we can show off films if need be. So, who wants to come?
 
I'm in. I can also make my world famous popcorn for the films if need be. :beer:
 
Yeah, I got swamped. I need to get going on this. It bugs me that I can think of, off the top of my head, 8 or so different PDX area people that didn't reply to this thread, it means I've got to go track them down and PM them.

Cool guys! Yeah the meeting hasn't happened yet, and now I'm off to NAB in a few months. Then for the next several weeks all the shoots for the SpyFest are happening. I'll make another attempt at a date sometime in late May. Then I could bring my Red and do a show and tell :-)

you can definitely count me in if you're bringing the Red One. Also if you ever need a Grip or PA on one of your shoots I'd love to help out.

K, it's late May. :tongue:

We should work on finding a good day of the week for us all and then schedule something in late June. Do weekend or weekday evenings work better for you all? My preference is a weekday evening, but will attempt to fit the meeting in whenever it may be.
 
Late August / Early September sounds good for me (just not labor day weekend). I think the RED ONE would be in hand by then, too :)
 
It would be cool to meet up. August/septembet may work out for me, but I'll know more in the near future. It would be very cool to have a demo of the Red, as I'm a self admitted skeptic, and I'm sure that some of the fans would like to change my mind. Cool!
