Well done! this is definetly better then alot of award winning shorts I've seen at film festivals.. I hope you can get this to as many festivals as possible because it deserves the audience.

As a critique dialouge coaching would have definetly given it just that extra. But I am sure you had to work with what you had available. :thumbup: :thumbup:
 
I had the pleasure of watching this short on the big screen last tuesday at San Francisco State University and was impressed by the production. Looks like a lot of work went into in and it came out looking great. Keep up the good work ! -p
 
Awesome work! You've really opened my eyes to what can be done in post. I've used layers for years (in still photography) but just didn't think of video that way until i read some of your notes. Congrats, and thanks for the inspiration!
 
That was just awesome, I had goose bumps all the way through. I loved the 2nd chapter but this was even better. The sound work and music was so well done and was so perfect for the picture, which also was very beautiful. Great visual effects also. Wow! I'd give you "The Hobbit" any time. :)
 
As well as being a great little film visually I was amazed how much it made me want to watch it - i.e. not just try and figure how you did stuff, but actually watch it for the story.

Really well done! I hope you got good marks for that!

Btw Not sure if you want to give away secrets, but how did you do the background replacement for the part where he comes over the hill? (Not the one with the moving cars, but the lamp-posts) You seemed to have managed to separate the grass from the background really well - was it keyed or done by hand?

I look forward to seeing more of your work.
 
i LIKED IT. Caps lock was on but I figure I'll leave it.

Great music and visuals. I don't think the acting was superb but it also wasn't bad.
 
some great imagery in there Marlon. I especially liked the exterior forest scene, when the two are talking near the beginning.

Would you be willing to upload a 30 second HD clip?
