I'm curious too as to the outcome of this saga --
maybe his camera has come, shiny and new, warranty covered and all. And maybe now he's rushed off making with it the great movies that is his destiny. He was simply in too much a hurry to tell us the details of his good fortune.
After the suggestion that Morox is maybe gone, I looked to see if he'd made other posts
Nothing -- but I did come across a recent thread of his about a stolen camera that he got (by mistake) -- from ebay.
Oh -- the money quote from that other thread:
I know I'm too sarcastic for this forum -- but any thread that begins with the words:
Ebay connoisseurship is expensively earned, indeed.

Oh -- the money quote from that other thread:
"...It's from Ebay and the guy is still selling stuff. He said in his auction that he bought it from a small video company. This guy is located in Massachusetts and the camera itself was stolen in Texas. So it's possible that the person who stole it; sold it on Ebay and that person who bought it sold it to me.
One other thing though. It came with the original box and warranty cards and everything else. Who keeps a camera stored in a box? "

licks at my most cynical erogenous zones. It too much reminds me of that fellow who waddled about in his faux flight suit in front of his "Mission Accomplished !!" sign."...I am an Ebay connoisseur, so I know how to avoid scams and I am able to sniff one out on the spot."
Ebay connoisseurship is expensively earned, indeed.
