For those who were wondering how the A1 behaves in low light conditions, as you can see by my vid below with some color correction done via after effects its not half bad. :)

I used the "night" settings provided by dvinfo and then changed some levels/huesat values in AE. (something that can also be done in FCP/adobe premiere pro)

thanks. those actually look really good for such low lighting. this camera keeps on looking better and better
 
My gain was at +12, and my shutter was at 1/48.

Note that i couldent get rid of ALL the grain causes by the gain, but rather only the annoying grain which filled up empty (dark/black spots). I will post a screen shot of a before/after when i get time later today, but basically in after effects i applied a Levels, clipped some black/white (making it "darker") i also did some hue/saturation to give the people a richer color. Then i changed the master lightness untill it looks appealing.
 
Very cool man... I have tried 12db before but gotten some massive noise... I hadn't thought about correcting in AFX... I would love to see some screen grabs... Good job on the video btw...
