Duel Adapter 10.4.9 Installer... :D

I know Cynic betaed this product.

I also wonder why so many people are experiencing problems while others have none at all.
 
Ive done some tests with this dual adapter all night. Very impressed. Downloads a 4 gig card in less than two minutes! I've tested the adapter with FCP 5.1.4. works great. Make sure you have the latest P2 drivers installed. That was the problem for me with not getting the driver that cynic posted. I think i'm gonna bring it out on my shoot tomorrow. thanks again cynic!!!

im not sure we are on the same page, what is the problem exactly? Is the "NO NAME" p2 card volume popping up on the desktop?
 
Are you doing it in the correct order.

Duel Adapter into computer.

wait 5 seconds

P2 into duel adapter.

ALSO, be sure the A/B switch on the duel adapter is on A for Mac mode. or is it B? idunno, try toggling it

I installed your driver, offloaded a 8 gig P2 card and all was well. When I tried to dump my 4 gig it wouldn't register. I
-rebooted -no go
-updated firmware on P2 card -no go
-reinstalled driver and rebooted -no go
-toggled A/B switch -no go
The DuelSystems adapter refuses to show up in system profiler... any thoughts?? I always insert without P2 card in the adapter and wait 30 seconds before checking. I really want this to work!
 
So I installed Cynics driver (I am running mac os 10.4.9) and the Panasonic P2 driver.

Slide the Duel adapter into the slot, and the computer registers that it is installed (checked in the system profiler). At this point without a P2 card installed in the adapter the little P2 symbol shows up in the menu bar.

Then I slide the P2 card into the adapter... nothing. The card doesn't show up anywhere, not on the desktop, or in the system profiler.

I repaired permissions, but to no avail. Even a couple of restarts. Hmmmm, what to do next?

The A / B switch is set correctly.

Any suggestions? I am really confused (not sure why) that this works for some and not for others.

Good thing I still have my back-up powerbook G4 with the correct slot.

This really sounds like a Panasonic Driver issue, and not a duel adapter driver issue. Does everyone have the most updated and latest driver?

they probably should, but they said i gotta get Jaydee G's to work too. Watta bummer :badputer:
 
For everybody who is as stupid as I am, mine works great now. Make sure that if you download the pc driver mac-intel like the one from Cynic above, you not only do the pcp2card install which you see first but go to AJ- PCD20 and install the p2 driver there. I was so stupid to not look further. Thanks a lot Cynic, you rock man!

No, neither are working, the DuelAdapter will NOT show up in the system profiler. That shoud happen even if I had the P2 card drivers screwed up right? It would seem that inserting a 4 gig card with old firmware screwed it up?!? Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall the Duel driver?
