Clicking Noise On My New HVX200

Just got my HVX today and it is a unbelievable camera! But when I first took it out of the box every time I move the camera up or down at around a 45 degree angle the camera makes a clicking noise around the focus and zoom rings, is this normal, is something loose? Any suggestions will really help. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that's cuz of the OIS system. When you turn it on, the clicking/clunking should not be there.

 Why isn't the sticky that's on the DVX board also over here?

Why doesn't Panasonic put a big red sticker on the box that says "the camera will clunk, see pg 122 of the manual"?

At the very end of the manual it tells you that if your' camera clicks, you have a defected model.
In the mean time, it's not a bad maraca.

You wouldn't know it from reading the rest of the manual, but those tech writers that Panny employs have a really sick sense of humor.

I remember back in the old dvx forum there was a very funny thread where someone was punk'd by the community... That was funny... It was almost like a innitiation ritual :)

"a" thread? ... Oh man, there where dozens!

It's the OIS in the camera's lens. It's perfectly normal.

We used to, as the DVXuser initiation, lead everyone on who asked this question that there was something horribly wrong with their camera, and we always had endless silly ways to "repair" the camera (Check the flux capcitor, put it in a dark closet over night, etc...). It was all fun and games untill Panasonic told us to stop it because they where reciving calls from woried customers asking about the Flux capacitor, distilled water, and aluminum foil.

Aah those where the good times!

Ahh, good times. The "I just got my camera/clunk/freaking out" threads are by far my favourite.

Good luck with the cam Jbatzel.

my camera used to clunk when it got grumpy, but right when i turned it on and started to use it, it stopped. It's just it's way for asking for some attention.
lol

The flux capacitor's working fine on mine, but when I drive faster than 88 mph with it, it disappears and sets the case on fire.

bherr, it states inthe manual you can't use the hvx in the presence of a DeLorean (page 122).

I just pack a fire extinguisher. When it reappears, the P2 cards are loaded with some wacky MXF files. If Michael J. Fox weren't in all of them, they'd make great stock footage for period films.

Wow, but how often do you see a DeLorean!? (I only seen one before)

I see one once or twice per week, but then again, this is LA. Saw one yesterday as a matter of fact.

How? It's not like it was a realiable car, lolz.
Actually I seen 2 Deloreans. The 2nd one i saw was at a car show, they put in it a RX-7 rotary turbo engine in it and were selling it.
