Beta users of Duel Adapter to MacBook Pro

I just received that answer from DuelAdapter email support.

We apologize for the inconvenience but at there is no estimated time for the release of the Mac OS x10.4.9 drivers. Our engineers are working around the clock to get them out as soon as possible. Please keep your eye out at http://duel-systemsadapters.com/support/downloads.cfm for the release.

Thank you for contacting the DuelAdapter email support.

I got the same exact email after I emailed them.

I have to wonder how materially different 10.4.9 is from 10.4.8 to require a 24 hour continuous effort.

Does anybody really believe this is a round the clock effort?

:)

10.4.8 Drivers do work under system 10.4.9

I can't guarantee this works for everyone but I have the drivers if anyone wants or needs them for system 10.4.9. I've moved them in and out of the system manually. Booted up in the system DuelAdapter works fine, out of the system DuelAdapter doesn't work. They are not large but are too big to upload to the forum. If anyone else has a space I can upload them to... Those of you in contact with Duel Systems might want to drop them a note as well?

Thanks for the offer.

Did you start with 10.4.8, install the old drivers, and then moved to 10.4.9 and installed the new drivers?

Or did you originally have 10.4.9 and start from there fresh?

Thanks

Finally, if the installer wouldn't let you install, how did you get them into the system?

bump? just got it today, and i'm not sure if i wanna even bother trying to install those other ones... anyone have any more 411?

I'm using a Powerbook (powerPC) 1.5ghz with 1gb Ram and a pcmcia slot (15" Alum Style) and P2 Genie - It's my virtual P2 Store Thrasher computer for field work. It's got an 80gb Drive and DVD burner to capture and backup on the fly in the field. Works Brilliant.

Duel-Systems Adaptor, I've just ordered one about 3 days ago online. Yet, I've heard no email reply from them, is this product still in pre-ordred ? Has anyone received it yet (Not Beta Testers)
Good thing I've got my P2Store now.

Not true, I'm on 10.4.9, download the P2 driver from Cynic821 and the AJ-PCD20 driver too today. Everything work perfectly, P2 icon on the desktop (not the first time before I instal AJ-PCD20 and restart) and download to FCP pretty fast without any problems. It's working seamlessly.

I purchased the adaptor after I saw the post in the Panasonic site but I'm running 10.4.9.....

P2 backup is really drag of the whole thing.
