Sgpro rev.2, Old school.

Hey Smettli,

I'm about to buy one of those SGPRO,

I would like to know where did you found your handheld spiderbrace thing or is called rig?

Whatever, the thing where you hold the camera :)

Thanks a lot!

Would a 35mm adaptor make getting a clean key more difficult?
Well, you could get your screen more defocused, thus blurring the diferent shades of green together and smoothing them out - this sounds good.
Since the adapters also soften the picture, maybe this is also good for the edges...?
But i´m not sure if the extra grain from the GG will worsen things at the same time...
I´ll try out for sure when I get mine...

Dude completely off topic, but I love Black Flag!

Nice stuff guys, very nice.

I went SGPRO myself just before christmas. Really nice and easy to set up. I'm on a HVX and found it all too heavy for the spiderbrace given the increase in weight, plus the folllow focus, matte box sgpro etc... so in the end I bought myself some Cavision grips to put on the spro's rods. Very nice.

It looks like you guys are using the manfrotto superclamp to hold the external monitor. I have one and a black flexi arm but they are both extremely heavy. The arm you use from the clamp, what is it, how heavy is it and where did you get it from?

With regards to the 35mm lenses and chromakey, I imagine the softening of the background and edges will make it even easier to key as the stepping in DV is a real pain even using a proceedural matte approach.

Anyway great work and let see more

Pretty neat looking set ups. Im using similar with the Cavision pistol grips and shoulder mount, different cam however. I pretty much find that for extended time like hours it all gets too heavy because there is no counter weight in the rear to balance it up. Trying to work on something to fix that myself.

I would definetely recommend the FF and having a dedicated focus puller.

Dling vid now.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't answered earlier but I have been camping out in the forest.
The Monitor is a Varizoom 7" LCD, and the clamp and arm is a set which is the Varizoom articulated arm.'
I don't know anything about keying and back screens, so I can't help you there I'm sorry :)

Ozan_Biron: If you were refering to me, then no, I haven't gotten any PM's.

- Cheers!

Anders my friend, that looked so cool. Your gear looks nicer and nicer everytime I see pictures of you. Great to see Espen and his camera too and Lasse in action :). Look forward to see you guys at the reunion (if you guys go)!

Cheers Niels
