Shooting in almost complete darkness - A1

I will be shooting (or trying to) a ceremony in the amazon that takes place in almost complete darkness. I cannot add artificial light because they won't let me. Does anyone know of an attachment (i.e. nightvision scope) or infrared lighting that will work with the A1.

Astroscope Night Vision Module. Google it, but there is one for sale in the marketplace section (Lots of great equipment for sale, thread). That particular one may only mount onto an XL series though...

Don't forget you can also slow the shutter speed and gain exposure there.

weird that they're so specific about the XHG1 -- wonder what gives. (pricey, but only 1 lb. w/batts)

Why don't you bring along a good 3 chip DV camera just for those scenes -- a vx2000,PD170, or DVX can shoot under much less light than any HD camera

If you don't need HD, just buy a DVC30 which can shoot in 0 lux. Put a big IR LED light on there and then sell the setup after the shoot.
