Junipero: The Last Son of Celestie

Then I wouldn't use that sky because it's confusing to my eye but maybe it won't be so much in motion.

If it is something else aside from the sun, it looks like a pretty intense light source that would still cast a shadow.

It's not the sun behind the clouds!

are you sure about that? Because the sky, based on the contrast, and the area of light and dark, that the sun would be hiding behind the center of the sky, making the sun directly over head. Otherwise you would need a sky that is more evenly balanced. Or maybe its brighter on the left of the frame and gradually decreases to the right?

It is just bothersome the way that the duller clouds are framing the sky because it makes it appear as if the brightest point is in the middle.

Did you forget to turn on the groundglass? I see some static grain in the highlights.

No. Trust me, if it was off you'd really notice. This seems to happen only in color correction phase when i blow out whites. It's really weird.

Marlon Im glad to see your sound matches your image quality. What equipment were you using on this?

I take sound very seriously, I interned as a sound mixer at american zoetrope (ended up not being what i want to do). I just use a schoeps microphone via boom & xlr off my xha1.

Inspiring work. It's amazing what is capable these days with modern equipment in the right hands.

Movie's done. If you want a copy send me a PM and we can arrange on how you can make this poor student filmmaker a little less poor :) *wink* *wink*

marlon, do you right your own screen scripts after you come up with the story? any specific programs you use?
