Help with FS100 - FCP VFR Converter

Hey fs100 gurus -
Can't seem to figure this out, so...

I shot a bunch of footage on the FS100. Some clips are 24 fps, some clips are VFR. I don't have a log of which clips were shot at VFR. Is there a way I can view this info so I know which clips to use the VFR converter tool on?

Also if I remove the advance pulldown for a VFR clip will that render a 24fps clip at 1x speed and delete the extra frames recorded for the VFR?

Thanks for the help-

anthony

Do not remove the pulldown on clips you wish to convert using the VFR converter in FCP.

The frame rate at which you shot the clip is in the metadata, but FCP does not display this. It is best to log or use a slate.... or even just say the frame rate during the take since the audio will not convert anyway.

Thanks ned.

any way to read the metadata?

yeah i figured out today that i should have slated the frame rate...and in the future will certainly.

Now that's weird.... I know that when I typed that message, I type the Imagine Products URL. When I read the message, it had the Focus URL.

Looks like the same thing happened with Ben's response.

Yes, P2 Log is from Imagine Products. I know that. But some little quirk in the board software doesn't seem to know that.

Whoa! Moderator! What's up? I copy and pasted that URL from Imagine Products! Something is very werid! And what's that "banned.htm" crap?

I'm contacting Barry and Matt, this smells of a dirty, worthless, POS hacker!

I've noticed this on other threads lately, too!

BARRY, WHAT'S UP!?

Edit: Informed the powers that be, hope this URL hijack is cleared up soon. P2 Log is by Imagine Products dot come.

OK, glad I have not totally lost my mind.... as well as my credibility for posting the wrong URL.

Apparently, the company that sells p2 Log is not in Jarred Land's favor.

That's why when we type that particular web site it comes out something else.

That happened with another company that sells stock HD footage.

Oh well

this actually wasn't my decision this time.. it was a collective vote from the moderators. Dan was abusing the advertising policy on DVXuser, was given a chance to correct it and chose not to be associated anymore.
