Since im an all around noob, I made a res. at the Palace Station Hotel, I believe it's not close to any of the action. I'll be there 16-18. Look for the tall guy rollin in the econo rental car!! If I can only get my hands on a Yugo!!
Palace Station really isn't all that far, it's only about 5 minutes to the convention center. Although the "palace" in its name might be a tad optimistic... :thumbsup:
ill let everyone know about the party if there is one... if someone wants to help with the organizational /aspect of it, im all ears, as i am doing double duty.
I haven't missed it in 10 years! Gotta do it.
The Excalibur has about the best rates on the strip.
I'll be working at the NewTek booth, (SL8614), Monday and Tuesday morning 9-11am.
I've heard there is something going on at the MGM Monday night for P2 users in general.
I'm already commited to a Sunday night gathering and now a Monday night gathering.
As for transportation, forget the Bus.
I just go out the front door to the cab line, ask if anyone is going to NAB, (of course there are about 20 others), and for about 5 bucks each, I get dropped off at the NAB front door. Same going back.
In fact, I usually take a limo back to the hotel and don't wait for the cab/bus line. I'll get about 2-3 others going back and for about 5-7 bucks get dropped of in a limo.
My time is worth more then 1/2 hour for a free bus ride.
I will be attending the entire show and leaving on the 20th. So I would love to catch up with a few of you if I could. I will be hanging with the Miller crew monday night but the rest of the week is open.
MiniMan;
The busses are better than walking if your hotel is some distance from the conference and you have *no* money, but they are slow as they stop at many hotels and often have quite a wait.
By grouping up, you can get a good rate on cabs or limos for much more covenient transportation.
