Ive looked everywhere on the forums but im stumped.

I have finnaly got a P2 card for my hvx202en. All i want to do is move the MXF files from P2 card to my computer.....

I have tried firewire and usb.2 and my computer doesnt seem anything.

i have tried to put my P2 drivers on the computer but It seems to miss a step....

Theres a part where it asks to selcect the driver need.... I select all and it then goes threw each one not allowing me to install....

I need help with a guide threw as I have either not set up my HVX to export or sometings wrong on my computer.

I also have windows vista on my laptop and only an hour after taking it out of the box have disco\vered Vista doesnt allow captuer.......
Is there a easy run threw page here or something???

My home PC is win xp with 2 gigs of memory and running HT 2.8 P4

You can have the computer on. Connect the USB cable to the camera & computer. Turn on the camera. Then on the back of the camera, push and hold the "Mode" button for 3 seconds. You will see the "Dub" light go on. On your computer you should see the P2 cards in the camera come up as 2 new drives. Now you can copy the files over.
I suggest making folders for each card, i.e.:
Client X Folder/3-29-07 folder/Card 1 Folder Card 2 Folder etc.

Is this what you wanted?

Oh, and I think on menu #9 "other functions" there is a setting for USB instead of 1394. But I think it is already set for this by default.
I hope this is clear and complete. I don't have the camera with me.

Hi,
on top of what TedRR said about connecting the camera to the PC you would want the "P2 Genie" tool for smoother download: http://www.p2genie.com/.
It delivers the files easily and in the given P2 structure to your PC in one single folder, this way you have less folders to click through afterwards.
The steps are:
- I use P2 Genie for download, let's say to D:\P2 downloads
- then view the stuff with P2 viewer (another small tool)
- then copy the MXF files to my NLE folder (Avid) using Windows Explorer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks mckayview,

I bought P2 genie about 3 days ago now it all is good... ill be buying Raylight soon so I can start using my MXF footage in premire pro 2

cheers
