Junipero: The Last Son of Celestie

It's even more filmic in motion! Great work Marlon, keep it coming.

One question: what lens did you use for that long shot of the man on the lake?

Im amazed, amazed by your work.

Would you mind telling me your "editing-suite" setup. What computer config and capture card etc..

thanks and congrats,
Jeff

24mm wide. Thanks. Glady you like it!

I edit on my G5 quad. Just FCP. No fancy capture cards.

Hey one more question: how do get that sharp focus and deal with the upside down mirrored image? Do you have an external monitor? It would be nice to see a picture of your rig.

whoops, already two questions :D

Yes. I have an external lcd monitor. I dont have any pictures of my rig right now but I'll post one as soon as I get one. :)

Just wondering... did u guys find the duck bothersome in the last clip i posted? im thinking of digitally removing it.

When I first watched the clip, I thought "damn you were lucky to have that duck swimming on the backround". I think it really ads the mood. Do NOT remove "him" :D

edit: Don't laugh at me but first I even thought that you had digitally made the duck knowing that you've got some skills on the CGI.

Sky replacement shot :)

Marlon--when you're done with this you should make a DVD and HD DVD and sell it. (give a good dvxuser discount ;)

It's inspirational stuff. I can show you how to make an HD DVD with a standard DVD-R if you'r not familiar.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Best of luck!

I was thinking about that :) Wasn't sure if anyone was gonna be willing to put down cash for it though. At least I know I'll have one costumer! Having an HD DVD option would be great too!

Marlon, it looks really nice but the motivation for the light is a little confusing. It appears to me that the sun is almost directly behind them above the horizon, yet the shadow they cast implies it's off to the left.

Because of this, the shot is not looking very realistic to me although it is a pretty composition.
