P2 8GB in Germany for 394€ + VAT!!!!!!!

maybe not. I think 8GB card pricing will drop. Possibly at 500US when the 16GB comes out and hopefully to 250US when the 32 GB comes out.
 
500 us huh? That's an even lower tag than in the other thread. I guess we'll see.

But what's 394€ translate to in american dollar?
 
Nice price considering I paid that for the "sale price" on 4gb cards in November. The 8gb cards were about $1200 then.
 
When I use that MPEC link it shows the price at 545 € + VAT = 648,55€.
MPEC is an authorized dealer.
When Panasonic had announced the price reduction (from which they made a sordid drawback) in the beginning of this year, MPEC had heard nothing about it. Now they seem to be among the early adopters of the new price.
 
Just like all the Jenny Paris posts since the buying consortium went off with a hiss and a roar. Thats why nobody has seen them. Nobody has the clearance.
 
Thats cool news, even if i had preferred the 345 € plus vat..of course..!

But at least i feel that this is something Panasonic "ows" us, at least in Europe, where we paid a lot more for the cam and cards, and where they announced the price drop first to take it back after a short time...i had sold all my 4 GB to get the new 8GB and then they did the roll-back..really bad.

I wrote Marc Irvin from Panasonic Germany, cause i did need the cards quick and cheap, he promised help, but i am still wating for it, was supposed to work until the beginning of march, so i had to go the expensive route anyway..bad bad....ok i will stop crying now when they sell me a 32 GB card at the end of the year for 1000 USD...!
