Envision & RebeccaD Present "Berlin"

I bet you could find some old VW's that you could put out there, maybe try and find one that's an army green type color? Looking forward to the shoot Norm! Also, if there's any gear you might need, let me know and I can look into getting it from school...

Hey, Where Silence Falls was great. Very slick in a good way. Looking forward to what you come up with for this

Thanks for the idea, Patrick. E-mailed you about the school items ... For the VW bug, I'm not sure they made them that early, but because we want this to be a REALLY classy look on the exterior & to set the scenes/story up, I'll probably look for a larger/classier car.

I've already rec'd a call back from someone with a BEAUTIFUL 1930's auto that we could use for FREE, but it's not European (not as recognizable as Ford/Chevy, so would still pass for 90% of the watching audience) ... so I'm going to hold out for a week or two so I can see if I can find something else. Otherwise, VERY nice to know I've got a fall back, if needed.

Keystoned, thanks for the compliments! First time I've seen your banner, so I'll have to check out your thread, ASAP ... especially with some of the players you've got onboard!

Updated Crew list. Welcome aboard, Patrick LaValley, Walke Williamson, and Ken Kupelian!

Lost & now needing to find replacements for 1st AD, Hair/MUA, and still looking for a solid Crafty ... Have a few leads I'm chasing down for them now.

Yes, yes you are. Great e-mail you sent out for the other needs we've got for the project. Thanks for the CC on it, Rebecca.

Had a great conversation (pretty long too, 45+ minutes) with an actor out of the Seattle area (3 hours north of us). Brian Ibsen, referred to me by Stefan. He's got a pretty impressive range from what I've seen on his site. I'll share it here, with the disclaimer that he'd probably want me to share as well ... he had a short-term manager that set the site up, which he can't stand the look of and is looking to completely overhall it. If anyone sees it on here & wants to contact him about helping him improve his site, let me know & I can put you in contact with him.

Anyway, he's got some GREAT range in looking at some of his pieces (check out FUNNY (the second commercial, SUSUKO, or something like that), IMPORTANCE, PSYCHOSIS, and BOBBY. Just got an e-mail from him tonight, and he loves the script. Have some things for Rebecca to look at as well. If all goes well, we may have our male lead. I'll still want to act in some small way, but I'll at least feel confident that I'll have someone solid to work with who can do as well or better a job than me (admittedly, probably better), won't be a drama diva (very cool on the phone), and will allow me to focus more on the overall direction.

Oh yes, his website: www.brianibsen.com

LOL, poor guy. Hope he doesn't mind I shared it ... just want folks to see his range, which I think is impressive. The site itself, on the other hand ... um, yeah.

When I was on the phone with him, the disclaimer & explaination he gave before he would even give me the address was close to 5 minutes long ... he really REALLY hates the site.

Lol! Yeah the site is pretty interesting, but I do think he has good range. I especially liked Psychosis... I was analyzing the heck outta that one. Lol.

Thanks, Jack. I've got to admit it has a WEE bit of mixed emotions, as I really enjoy the acting side as well (and personally don't care of people think I'm making a vanity film if I'm in it as a prominent role), but want the best for the film ... I think Brian's going to do a GREAT job, and already sounds like he'll be very easy to work with as a director.

Really looking forward to it. Just got off the phone with him a few minutes ago, and he loved the script. He's officially on board.

Welcome aboard, Brian Ibsen!!

Click the above image, grab a cup of joe & kick back as you listen to the instrument track Herman Witkam composed & performed for our Cabaret scene. Vocals to be performed by the phenomenally multi-talented Rebecca L. Dunn ... which the recording session will be held this week.

Stay tuned!

Absolutely! I could have posted a version now with vocals, but it's Herman's own voice as a guide via temp track, so I thought I'd just wait until it was finalized with Rebecca's.

BTW, I SHOULD have stated above that Herman is also a phenomenal multi-talented dude!

We're preparing the song now, as we'll essentially be filming the Cabaret section of the film (where she & the band 'perform' the song) like a music video would. In fact, I'm planning on shooting the entire performance as a sytlized music video (hoping there's enough time with our two full days on the set) to intercut with the BTS video I'll put together of the whole production.

However, since there would technically be actual footage that may appear in the film itself (from the 'music video section), I may not be able to show the BTS video until after the films are available for viewing.

Since the song is vocal driven, it doesn't make much sense hlistening to the only music version. The mix with the voice is awesome, love it. Hats off to Herman.

One part that didn't like is those fast piano triplets, which to me, disturb the pace of the song.

I'm not a vocalist, really - so the lesser people hear it, the better
