Sooo nice. It really seems you're playing to the strengths of the cam and the locations. Nice depth lines in many of your shots, very nice compositions and the wintery look really adds texture. I might have missed it, but did you shoot the entire thing 60p? The look hides the usual jerkiness of handheld and really works with the score (Justin, man you've got talent). I like your sequence of shots...2:05 to 2:15 stands out for me...nice shooting and editing. Was black jacket / pink scarf lady out with you for the shoot or were you just stalking? (strike that, nobody poses for a stalker :))

And with all respect to your shooting and the Brevis (love the new mount Dennis), we've really got to start the "Crap lenses worth their weight in gold" thread.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I shot in 720pn, I think thats 24p, not sure though. Justin rocks. I think I'm attached to him for the rest of my film life.
Shes my producer/GF, we were hanging all day just shooting and enjoying the neighborhoods and stopping by the places we miss.

I shot another quick test and the in camera slomo really hides the hand held jerkiness. Makes it look like a stedicam almost with the fluid motion.

Nice, I don't know if the chrom-aberation adds or detracts from it. Very Very Cute footage.

P.S. Why is it called Battery Park? Looks like most of the footage is from Coney Islan, Brighton Beach and Queens?

Thanks. Yeah, originally when I posted this I was only at Battery Park, the next day I went to Coney Island but you can't change the title of a post without bothering the admins. Only Ci and Battery Park.

Hey aram, look for a Vivitar, 17-28 Zoom. its a nice lens too, lotsa Charachter. I have one and i LOVE it. it sQuirky but Aweosme.

What mount does that fit on, I actually have a vivtar but its a tiny mount. No where near the size of the canon or nikon.

Crap lenses may be the golden egg for movies that fit the look. :) I am definitely still going to keep my eye out for them cheap jammies for the right price. Even if i don't need a particular one I probably would buy if the price was right to see what it does. You never know.

the vivtar i have is made for canon. i used it on the gfella shoot. the parts where he is against the green wall. its a tad soft. its a tad vingetty. but its warm rich and beautiful.

Out in Florida, Pentax was the lens that was in abundance. Seemed like it was popular out there or something. I have no idea what pentax fits.

looks like Coney Island is not going to be there much longer. Footage like this of it will become worth something one day.
