"Cristo" by: justin r. durban

Thanks ladyhazle! May as well use my graphic design degree for something. :)

I think that's a great ideal to just build one. I love arts and crafts and I've got all the time in the world to make it happen. (minus the time) That website reminds of "Stick to What You Know." There's some WONDERFUL tips/tricks/handydandy stuff there.

Geoff.. Yes. that would be most impressive. I'll look into an investor and get that taken care of pronto.

Shooting Schedule.. Just found out Location 2 will be heading for spring break from the March 26th - April 8th. So, i'll either bust balls and shoot it next week or suck it up and wait till weekend of the 14th. Plus, it'll give me a little more time to build my underwater rig.

I also got a hint from steph to find a pool that has an underground window. WHICH.. I had a friend that lived at a place like that and the window was located in the the Gym. Maybe he still has ties there? SO many options...

Storyboard #1. This is the opening scene.

Justin,

Nice looking cast and boards. I also really like the graphic style of your banner, very clean lines and very nice elegant, yet techy feel. Your backyard is disgusting... no one should have that cool of a back yard. You sure you don't want to sit this one out? Nah, just fun'n... Can't wait to see what you have in store.

Man this is a blast.

Whoa Justin, great job in pre-production. Your product branding is second to none. The location is awesome. The storyboards are looking great too. I like the glowing triangles on the watch in the banner. It's very Edgenish.

Who's doing your cinematography? Draft Matt Thompson to DP as well as play Robert.

Thanks Aaron! I'm glad I've got an 'edgenish' style that's recognizable. :)

DP... I'm not sure who's going to do that yet. I'm sure we'll all pitch in on that department when the time comes. since all the shots will occur during the day, lights will be little to none. (I'd love to throw a massive light into the pool for some cool reflections though)

Thanks Matt! Ya, the storyboards are basically there to help out other visualize what in the hell I'm thinkin and that I've in fact, not lost my marbles.

yup.

One day my friend... one day.

*phones* "Aram. umm.. ya. Got the 30 million seed funding and it's green lit. Pack your stuff as it's now that Time to jump on the jet plane."

And then Aram will say "Excellent. Who'd you get for the lead role?" And you'll say "Tom will play the lead" and he'll say "Wow, he was fantastic in that last Spielberg film and I really liked him in that other thing he did with Kate Beckinsale. He really nailed the character."

No problem, Edgenish is definitely a good thing. I can't think of a better graphic designer than Justin R. Durban. I wish you had time to get comfortable with a particular camera because visually you are very strong.

But wow man you have Matt on your team and he really knows what he's doing with the DVX and I guess by default the HVX. I'm looking forward to this entry.

Well man. Sounds great! I think your backyard is a great area to shoot... as seen in Craven, haha.
I wish you guys a lot of fun! Hopefully I can keep your company next time. As I said, just give me a "job" and a reason to get away from cold, rainy & depressed Germany ;o)

See you soon

http://edgen.hostpaw.com/craven.wmv This is my backyard at "Night". (location 1) You really can't get much detail from it, but hey... it was a last minute fun shoot Matt and I came up with around 10:30. wrapped around 2ish... edited the next day and Manuel scored it the day after. (he's also one of the stars) I'm definitely getting the most of my backyard.

Enjoy!

ya, 15. the first one was 9 megs. just higher quality i suppose.

We had an issue with the sound cables so there's this dumbass crackling/static going on towards the end. tried my best to cover it up, but oh well. it was a quickie.

It looks great for being a quickie... much much better than the last quckie short I saw of yours about 4 or 5 months ago, I think. :)
