Envision & RebeccaD Present "Berlin"

Brandon: Nope, not a chance.

Brian: Okay, I get it ... and no comment.

Shawn: I'll be working on the changes tonight. You're the first person (outside of Rebecca and I) to have read the script, and still only 1 of 2 other people on the crew who've seen it at all. So hold your horses! :)

Still out to lunch on the starring thing, though I think I know where you stand on that one with regards to what I should do, lol. I would love for Reid to be in this one. My concern is where. Though I've not contacted anyone in the reinactment community that you've spoken of, I do know that any we can get onboard will likely have their own gear/uniforms, saving us a ton of money. Anyone NOT in that community, we'll likely have to provide the costume/uniforms, which increases cost. That said, with the revised script there could be some other opportunities for him as well.

K, back to finishing up this project that I HAVE to get off my plate (and collect final payment on), and then to the script later tonight.

Lol, it's not me Norm, it's the whiskey talking!

EDIT: I just had a big nice breakthrough in my own script writing this evening and felt like some good natured ribbing, all in good fun, I think you're a good actor. Sheesh, I'm courting you to star in one of my Red productions :-)

Hey Shawn - when you cast Norm in your production, could you please promise not to have a scene where he takes off his shirt?

Please?

For the audience, at least?

(the next thing we know, he'll be running for Governor of the State of California)

Hmm...good point, but he was already asking me to let him wear a speedo, I believe he mentioned buying "the cutest leopard print you've ever seen". I'll have to mention the fans are petioning him not to.

LOL! Okay, that's funny. Leopard print....okay.

I totally got the inflated tires thing, Brian! Cute. Lol

So, moving on .... :)

Last night was a bust for me in getting to the script, as I had hoped. That said, I DID finish the client project & looks like I have final approval, so today IS script day.

You have my word on it.

Hey Norm, congrats on the client project and good luck with the script. Nice to see someone on this thread trying to stay focused!

If you want to stay the "Script Wrangler" you better not let us down

Working on it now ... while I'm on a conference call & working on expense reports, lol. Besides, 'Script Wrangler' is more about being able to obtain good scripts, not necessarily writing them myself. I've never really considered myself a writer, per se, but have lately been getting pushed more & more into that role. :)

Ted, glad you noticed I'm trying to keep this at least mildly on focus. I don't want this to become an alternate cafe, and possibly lose respect along the way for what we're going to be doing.

Yea, I know what "script wrangler" is really for...but it was an easy way to hassle ya, since I haven't had a chance to for a while

heehee... sounds oddly familiar... :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

Oh, yes, and Brandon/Ted, or anyone else reading that ... it's not a stab at anything in the past. I'm wanting to learn from it is all, lol, and make sure the conversations at least come back to the film/project within a few posts, if at all possible.

Ha! Love the smiley, Larry. Read back a few pages ... you think I've not gotten hassled enough?! Kidding, it's all good.

I just love Larry's smileys! They're the best.

And yes.... there was that obnoxious thread last fest! Thank goodness those guys aren't back! :)

Lol! Ted! Nice. Larry, I want some smileys like that, no fair.

Norm, way to stay on task, bud! Glad we hit the beats for the ending, etc. today. Forward me the latest copy when you can!

Had to take a break to watch THE LAST STARFIGHTER with the kids. Been quite a while since I'd seen that ... boy the VFX in it sucked something aweful, lol!

Back on task & will have it to you tonight, Rebecca, though you'll likely be in bed long before I will. 'Night!

I'm looking forward to reading the new script Norm. Rebecca, is there a dance floor in front of the stage where your band will be playing? The swing dancers in town know a very old sensual form of slow dancing called the Blues that would look cool if it had the right sound.

There's no official dance spot in Huber's, though we'll make room for it in the set.

Just finished the script (about 5 minutes ago) with a COMPLETELY different ending, slightly massaged opening, and a new scene near the end as well. Hoping it works as well or better than before (as far as emotional punch). Though I still believe in the other ending a lot, people just weren't seeing it as Rebecca and I did, and instead found it depressing ... which is not what we intended, nor want the audience to feel.

I'll look forward to your thoughts on it, Shawn. I'm printing it for my wife to read tonight, and will have it to Rebecca to review when she has time tomorrow. After that, I'll share it with you & hopefully the rest of the cast/crew as well.
