All this fantastic HD Footage and nothing to do with it!

Hello DVX users,
What is the best way to view my finished product that I’ve shot in DVC PRO HD and edited on a Mac Pro. I have all this fantastic-looking footage that I would like to burn onto DVD but I want to keep the resolution. Is it worth buying a Blue Ray RW drive? Can DVD Studio Pro even burn Blue Ray? What are some HD DVD options.
What are you all doing with your HD footage? I have a 50 inch Sony flat screen that I would like to put to use.

output to h264 mov file or xvid and enjoy it on your pc or stream it. Or downrez to dvd, it will still look great :)

The Apple TV set-top box should be out in a couple of weeks which will play up to 720p. Output to Quicktime H264 and add it to your iTunes library and it will automatically sync to the Apple TV.

I'm likely to skip the HDDVD / BlueRay thing for personal use and going this route.

play back that DVCPRO HD through a computer (laptop even) connected to an HDTV with a DVI to HDMI adaptor cable - I've been doing that tonight...

DVD Studio Pro 4.1.2 update allows for HD DVD discs to be burnt on red laser DVD-R's and playback in HD DVD players. It used to do that but had major problems, now they seemed to have ironed out most of them

You can also burn HD-DVD disks with FCP onto a standard 4.7GB DVD and play them in the Toshiba player. You can get about an hour of video this way.

I use my Mac Mini as my DVD player/TV drive @ 720X1280 DVI. You can watch uncompressed dvcprohd movies via quicktime, and that's as good as it's going to get. Admittedly the uncompressed files are going to be bulky and my 1.5 g4 can't keep up with HD compressed via h264. Good Luck.

With the introduction of this new DVD Studio Pro update, I’m able to burn HD DVD with red laser to +R DL DVD! They work in Xbox’s HD DVD drive too. This is a great improvement. However, menus don’t work so don’t bothe building them, and I’ve run into problems trying to import h.264 video from compressor into DVD Studio Pro. That’s about it. Anyone else experimenting?

Anyone used an XBox 360 to view HD content? Its interface with Windows Media Center should make this possible.

Yes, they will work , using the default MPEG 2 from Compressor settings will work fine, just as long as you start with those parameters you can tweak as neccessary.
