Dub from FS-100 to P2 Card to fix RAW-DV Problem?

So I have a firestore with a bunch of RAW-DV material recorded onto it and im hearing that the only way to fix this (since FCP and Avid both cannot accept the format) is to dub back to a P2 card and then import that thru PCMIA as you normally would.

We are renting a P2 card on Tuesday and only have a few hours with it to get the transfer completed, is the process as simple as playing back from FS into the HVX and hitting record? I'm sure its probably a simple task but without the card to play around with I cant troubleshoot on my own. It would be nice to not waste time figuring out the workflow while the time is ticking with our rental. Thanks

I'm not familiar with the raw dv problem...

but, if you can play from the firestore to the HVX, it seems to me you can just as easily play from the firestore to FCP or avid - just capture from the firestore FW stream, rather than doing a data transfer...?

Connect the FS via the DV FW port, not the computer FW port, to your computer and live capture.

I have tried that before with XPress DV 3.5 and was unable to capture, i get a signal that there is a camcorder attached but it does not gain device control and I am unable to record, I recently upgraded to Xpress Pro so perhaps it will work there, if not maybee that will work on the editors computer which is FCP.

People on the firestore forum have told me that I need to use a P2 card to get it in the right format

made a 1080i/59.94 project set the FS to AV/C control mode, Ive gotten device control but see nothing in the monitor and yes i do have tracks selected, if I start a capture the file I ended up with was just grey, dident play and almost crashed avid, it has not yet shown up in the monitor. I'm getting errors like:

no imput signal present
ADV AudioDev: Failed to set DIO sample rate
Capture aborted due to lack of progress
