I have a bunch of footage(shot 35mm crystal sync ) and sound (quarter inch tape nagra 3 with 60 cycle sync tone on .
What are my options with modern NLE programs
Or
do i need to reslove and Sync old style and transferr via digi beta or video
Before I can transferr the data onto a hard drive for modern digiatl editing .?
Id like to assume that I can take picture with slates and sound with clapper and sync everything up after I get in on a hard drive
But
The old double sytem is 24fps not 30 fps
and the sound was recorded in the old standard at normal speen and with a 60 cyle pilotone .
Any aspects of modern Nle which take this material in and work the conversion?
I still have my moviola and I a ready to print picture
transferr sound to stripe or full coat and then go for a video transferr if needed.
Thanks for any help
Cheers

You can sync them up easily in any modern NLE, as long as you have them transfered at realiable (and known) speeds to a digital medium.

For example, you can have the audio digitized at 100%.
And have the film digitized at 30fps. Bring in the 30fps footage into a 24fps project in your NLE and have it slow the footage down to match the 24fps. Drop in your audio, find your sync points and match them up. Lock the clips together, rinse, repeat.

Bruce,
Don't know if you have 35mm neg or a print (a print might need liquid gate or whatever the modern digital equivalent is), but a good telecine place can transfer to a Digibeta master (archival or later "on line' use) and a DVCAM or DV copy simultaneously. It will certainly be cheaper to just have them do the picture instead of paying the lab to sync it all up for you. The sound transfer is a lot cheaper and as long as the facility is resolving your pilot tone correctly to DV or CD audio you should have no trouble lining things up in your NLE.
Hope this helps.
