RedRock M2/Cartoni Focus/XH A1 Problem

So my partner (DammitJanet) and I are trying to put our M2 on our A1. The trouble is that the manual recommends putting the camera on the tripod (in our case a Cartoni Focus) to attach the achromatic lens. It says to do this with the RedRock quick release plate. Well, we attached the plate, and (surprise!) it's too big for the Cartoni. We've scoured the RedRock forums for an answer and so far we haven't found any help.

Can someone please help us figure this out?
