This is the screen test for two of my new team members Mitt Lenix and Shane Seo. it's an unfinished roughcut of the Tekken fight scene.

once complete, all of the sound will be rodone, but i put some in for dramatic effect. it was shot in three hours... enjoy my friends. once the full short is complete, It will be put online. THIS IS JUST A SCREEN TEST AND THE ACTUAL SHORT WILL TAKE PLACE ELSE WHERE.

THERE IS A DIRECT DOWNLOAD THAT HAS BETTER QUALITY ON MY WEBSITE AT

IN THE MEDIA SECTION.

Got some good stuff going on. Compression makes it hard to see anything, though. It's pretty blurry at this point.

Is the guy with the grey cap "Bryan Fury"? Looks a we-bit young.

Boy, those dudes can fly.

I like the idea... But it is a bit too blurry because of the internet compression... I would like to see it once it has more as well as some sort of direct download to watch it

It looks okay.

The lighting is pretty bad, shadows everywhere. I'm not really feeling the location, it seems so bland. Somewhere in the middle of a forest would of been a lot better in my opinion. Work on the color correction also.

in the woods would be sweet, plus you'd get the added bonus of great lighting, bring a bounce card for the closeups, s'all you'd need

The fight looks really great! I loved the blood that you got him to spurt out when he was punched and kicked. When he runs up the wall and the shot is from below it looked like it was from the matrix.

wow

wow

completly awsome.
except for one small thing that bothered me.
you showed they had good looking bodies but I think you over did it with showing their bodies five times each in the beginning and for a moment I wasn't sure what genre I was watching if you get the hint (no offense meant).
but other than that very excellent

As far as the editing goes, it works really well. They actually look like real martial artists, unlike most amateur projects I've seen. I would have liked to have seen more wideshots worked into the fight. It would make it look more cinematic and professional. It could work pretty well since it seems like you have people who actually look like they can fight, and don't need to rely entirely on cuts and close-ups to make the fight look believable.

I know you said the audio's just temporary, but I really think you'd be better off leaving it out for now. It was very distracting. It sounded terrible to me, as if almost all of it was over-modulating.

MAN... i COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND WHERE YOUR COMING FROM dangal. i wanted to sync the music up with when they charge in at each other, so i went to the beginning and threw in some gratuitous footage to fill in the empty space. i didn't like it, but didn't want to cut the song short in the beginning... damnet.

Agcohn, thanks for the info bro.

That was very well done. If only it had a narrative context, and better location, it could be very compellling.

yeah, the real short will have much more drama, and more intense action. I actually choreographed the fight on set, and they performed with no prep time. It was their first fight scene, but they are both champions so they absorbed everything really quickly.

Looking forward to DMC and TEKKEN full narrative shorts. I'm sure you'll let us all know when you kick them out.

Holy mama that makes me feel like working out. great job, and even better considering the constraints you had to work with. The actual product will be great. and Damn those guys are ripped. I will now cease my pseudo homosexual discourse

Thanks guys, I am really sharpening my skills for Slums 13. I'm in pre production, with Miramax's watchful eye over my shoulder... the pressure :)

how are you incorporating the bloodsprays into this sequence? are they just spitting it out? or do you have a squib of some sort?

They are just spitting the blood out, even though Mitt ( Jin ) got carried away with the blood a little bit. I also use other methods like squeeze bottles and rubber tubing, but that only works when the fighters are clothed.
