Yes that was all ahot in HDV 24P, and it was comprable to the sony XDCAM HD F350's 24P capability. If anyone has any questions about the camera feel free to ask and I will try to answer it. Also I'm working on getting some full size frame grabs to post online so you can see the true beauty of this camera and its new imaging technology.

To tell you the truth I didn't pay particular attention to the DOF. I doubt that the chip size really makes and that much of a difference because a 1/4 CMOS chip can excede the quality of a 1/3 CCD especially these Clearvid CMOS chips. When the camera I ordered comes in I will pay particular attention to it and report back to you.

any V1U people take any new footage??????????? if you did please post let us see those pretty pictures please like to see some indoor footage still havent seen that so please post !!!

Yo why so much interest in the v1 when the a1 is proven and cheaper? Like 4-5 ppl own a v1 and there isn't a lot of good press about it so why bother?

the V1U is better camera hdmi and a true proggresive frame not 24f and besides that i have vegas , vegas owner here :)

Can anyone suggest links for v1u settings we might experiment with on our new camera?

BTW... we started a documentary with a borrowed v1u after some test shooting produced beautiful results.

When it came down to buying a camera, we looked at the Canon HX-A1 and Z7U, and decided to stick with the v1u.

We were really tempted by the z7u, but given it's short list of issues, it seems like the camera is not quite ready for prime time. Which is a shame, because it the z7u has the potential to be awesome.

Thanks in advance for any programming tips for the v1u.

Interesting comments bytehoven. I love the look of the v1 and it's features (and size). I was just disappointed by it's need for light. Great daylight, or well lit/prepared set camera though. Really nice picture.

34Ford - Next time you prepare files for internet posting, please make sure the stay progressive, or de-interlace them. Your footage has gorgeous color, but the interlacing is distracting to a keen eye. But yes, please post more!

Could you help me with that? Im using Vegas 7 and I did these videos so they wouldn't be such big files. I have a hard time trying to keep good quality and make them suitable for people with less than great inet connections and d/l times.
