Thanks for all your help everybody on my questions this week.

I'm going to shoot 720P 24 but I'd like to shoot 24N because it gives me
20 minutes on an 8GB card. I'm going to edit on Final Cut Pro 5.12.

I haven't edited 24P footage before. Is there anything that I should know
before committing to 24N tomorrow?

I know I should have this all figured out and tested by now but I've been
scrambling to do a lot of other stuff due to no art dept., audio dept.,p.a.s., etc..

Thanks!

24pN is silent (if you over/undercrank) so If you need audio then shoot 24p
If you shoot 24pN make sure your frame rate is adjusted to 24 as well or you will end up with a clip that plays too fast

I have some old clips i shot in 24pN mode that think they are 30p and play too fast.

(edited to reflect Barry's clarification)

24pN is not silent if you shoot at 24fps. It's only silent if you shoot at a different frame rate.

If you're using the cards, 720/24pN is usually the preferable way to record because of the space savings.

Thanks, that reassures me. I tested (finally!) and got good audio with 24N
and since I have one 8GB card only the extra recording time is going to help!

Yes, I did test some overcranked footage with 24N and found that it's silent
but that's not a concern for tomorrow.
