Brandon, congrats on your new toy! So tell us where you got it and how much. I'm looking into one soon.

Great shots, and congrats on joining the HD bandwagon! Looking forward to lots of great stuff and new films from you!

I am so excited for you! I remember how I felt when I got my HVX. It is an awesome feeling! I laughed at your variable framerate test. It looks like what I did too! I am excited to se what you bring to the table with this baby for Spyfest!

Cool Bman... you've not got an HVX... :)

And that shot of the BMW looks very nice... a little gamma curve fix and that thing will look a LOT like film...

how woud you "fix" the gamma? you don't mean in post do you? or are you talking about the scene file settings?

I do most of my work in post as most know here. I do most of my tweaking in post. Shoot a moderately 'flat' image and make it look HOT in post.

that sounds like a good idea cause if you are too far one way it makes it hard to go in the opposite direction... but you have to want to spend time on post like you probably do... then again if you really know your camera and you know exactly what you want it is good to aproximate it on the camera, right?

Eh, it's honestly pretty subjective. If I worked at it, and used filters, gels, etc. I could get my looks in camera, but I find it a lot easier and more freeing to shoot it stock (kinda flat) and get my looks in post. It's not a lot more time spent either, not really.
