new 35mm adapter short

It's actually a DIY adapter. I made it based on Edweird's design and then modded it from there so it now more closely resembles Twocik's iFocus

it's a static design using a Nikon D focusing screen, and 2 asian Macros
lenses are canon FD lenses.

For that shoot I only used my 50mm since we ran out of time (gotta pick the most important shots)

1 DIY Kino, 2x 250watt Smith Victor lights, additional 50-200 ligths (for atmosphere and depth)

The sound levels and intermittent noise detracted from an otherwise good short. But if you've fixed that, then great.

I liked it. It was good. The rings were loud. haha. Anyway, can you do me a HUGE favor and tell me if you use FCP? I use FCP and can't seem to get it to output to quicktime without stretching the footage and leaving black bars on the sides. What compression are you using and what sizes do you use? Can you help with this problem?

Glad you liked it. It's not perfect, but for an experimentation piece to test the limits of the 35mm adapter and reorient myself to being moe of a cinematographer rather than just a "video guy", it was extrmely useful.. The next project is going to be a lot more polished and that will be coming soon....

sorry dude, I'm using Premiere Pro. My room mate uses FCP and he's having similar problems with his export too.

Yeah, I liked it. Thanks for the quick response. Good luck with your next shoot. If you know anyone in the Boston area, tell them I could use some help. :)

Oh, and if your roommates figure out the FCP thing, let me know.

Great stuff. Need a bit of editing, slow it down and trim a bit to create more suspense. The goldfish line is a bit overused. Also the FX shot is not good. She isn't seen ever raising the gun to her head. How about she puts it in her mouth and use closeups, etc...then show the blood/brains on wall (either with sprayer or in AE). Overall a terrific piece with big potential. Great work!
