Could this one be useful with the HVX?
OQO model 01+ Ultra PC

Version: 30GB, XP Pro Tablet Edition


I have seen it on the

It has firewire, a 800x600 display and if you swap the harddisc with an 7200 rpm ...could it be useful??

Very interesting, but with a 1 GHz processor it is probably a little to under powered to run DVRack HD. Might be fine for an SD application.

How about using only the monitor? Will that work via firewire? Or do I have to record with firewire when I use the output?

Something has to decode the data stream from the Firewire port -- that's what the processor probably won't be able to keep up with. The actual recording to disk isn't all that much extra work.

Besides, the OQO Model 1 was voted one of the 25 worst tech products of all time by PC Magazine.

Ups....BTW In the model 2 they omit the firwire connection.
So many good ideas in the world and such a bad achievment.
