Well here I am... My first entry to one of the DVXuser's fest. I am thrilled to enter this competition. I've always wanted to participate but never did anything about it.

So, now, because I know the amount of work it takes to make a short... I want to congratulate all those who have submitted and are going to be submitting their work.

So, here it is: "Erica"

Synopsis:
It is the second year anniversary since the tragic event that changed the life of Eric and Isaac. Until this day, the teenage friends have been plagued with fear and personal trauma. Their view on how they live takes a sudden turn when they confront each-others affliction not realizing they are self counseling while speaking onto each-others life.

Thank you Theodore! I am excited to see everyone else's work.

Here are some behind the scene stills. Can I post screen grabs from the movie?

Great stuff! I love bts shots! (I was going to ask if you had any to post but I figured with your last second entry, I'd be putting extra pressure on you! Good for you for having them ready!!!)

And yes, you can post screen grabs! Post away!

btw, those bts shots are really great. Nice set-up you had there. I especially like the "mini-sticks" in the 3d shot!

Hey Roman, good to see you in. Haven't talked to you in a while - since one of the networking events you hosted. Good luck.

Yeah, you can post screen grabs.

Hey Mark whats going on? Is great to be back. I like your entry. Katrina has my attention since I saw the poster. Good stuff. Best wishes to you to.

Theodore, thanks for your comments. I was also checking out your submission. Looks pretty intriguing. Your cast looks pretty cool.

Hear, hear! I second that and congratulate everyone on their efforts as well. But it's good to see your entry, Roman, and I must admit that the poster certainly makes me curious (and I like the premise of self-counseling).

Did you rent your gear or how did you put together your production package?

Here is one Screen grab from the actual movie.

These are my lead actors Eric and Christian... they are great actors... I was very pleased with how professional they were on the set. Top notch.

We shot the movie in one day = 21hrs non stop.

Whoa! 21 hours non-stop!?!?! Wow. You must have been exhausted after that day!

I like the composition of that shot.

I bought the camera for this short... everything else was rented.

I thought I could make the movie with $500 - $700. But oops! I guess I was estimating in fairy tale money. I am even embarrass to say how much money I spent.... but every penny was worth it.

Thanks Geoff,
I've been checking out Heritage and am looking forward to seen it.

To be honest this was the first time production for many of us. My DP and 1st AD knew their stuff very well.

This is the first time I write, direct and produce. I have directed projects for other people... But this is the first short of my own I have completed.

The HEIGHTS!!!!! OMG, The HEIGHTS in Summer, Beautiful dominican girls with blue eyes, 103 degrees..... Poom pom shorts.... Thats life....
