First Time Footage

Long time member of dvxuser but I've never contributed anything. Time to bite the bullet and post something of my own. So I got my A1 I got on saturday, eventually after many weeks of wait. I went out and shot some footage! Some things to bear in mind;

1. I've never used a prosumer camera before, let alone touch one, the last camera I owned and operated was a Sony Hi8. So I'm not a video whizz like you guys are, so constructive criticism please!!!!
2. It was really windy that way, hence some slack composition.
3. The lense had some condensation on it, cos it was cold man..you live and learn.
4. The h.264 saturated out some of the nice colours. Use VLC player to play the colours are better.
5. I didn't use any colour correction, all in camera, just me messing around. Only 1 black and white preset was djsectas from this forum.
6. I've made the file SD PAL because it's easier to download and watch for peeps with slow connection and slow pc.
Anyway here it is. 720x576, 44mb, H.264

Well well well. Look who we finally have here. Get ready for a world of pain, my friend. Hahah. Just kidding. You filmed some nice surroundings there. But it's like you said, there's some heavy condensation going on on some of the shots...I guess my main criticism would the how flat the footage looks. Whenever I export using quicktime this happens to me too (so, I don't know if this was the case with you...you should check the original footage and compare it to the quicktime you exported). Anyway, congratulations on the camera. Use it wisely, mon frère.

P.S - I ended up not being able to go to London

The actual images are fine and look very rich in colour. However, when exporting to quicktime H.264 it just looked damn flat.
