Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Jack isn't my friend anymore, but Jim is like family.

As Mark said, we're cranking it out. This has been a good learning experience for me as it is the first time I've been able to work with Premiere Pro. I'm usually a Vegas guy but you know what I've learned after working with this program for 3 days? I'm ALWAYS gonna be a Vegas guy!!!!!! lol The program is cool, and relatively user-friendly, but my main goal for being able to use it is for AE. I'm really glad that I've gotten the opportunity to use Premiere because there are not many better ways to learn an NLE than just start it up and edit a movie! It does seem to be a bit more stable than Vegas with certain things though.

Hope everyone is well. Brandon, SR is almost done, we just finished the naked man, running down the street with a beer bottle up his butt scene.

Tim.

HAHA Good to hear... everything else is done and locked, so all we await is those final shots :) Thanks.

Ted and TTN friends, I saw some of Tim's preliminary edits of the first part of the climax and it rocks. WHOA! The FX work is amazingly on schedule and we're looking good.

We still need to work out some small ADR this week, but I think we're totally golden peeples.

It's hard to believe we are getting toward the end of this little journey. It's even harder to believe that it was only late last October that Ted and I began talking about making this project. I shared my story idea with him before we even knew whether the theme of this festival would be drama and we kept our fingers crossed because we both wanted to shoot this.

Since then I feel like I've gained a whole new close family of fellow filmmakers. I'm in awe and astonished by the talents all of you have brought to the table and it will be such an honor to share our mutual work with the DVXUSER community. I believe people are really going to like this film.
Woo-Hoo!!!

Very excited to see the cut! Send me a link!!!!!

Nope, not in Miami ... it's a Monday, so I expected business travel to be exceptionally heavy in the AM ... so I got here 90 minutes before my flight ... and FLEW through right to the gate with nearly an hour to spare. Next time I'm not going to leave my house 'till 20 minutes before my flight leaves, lol.

EDIT: Besides, when I land in Miami I'm going to RUSH to the hotel ASAP so I can try to catch the new episode of HEROES by 9pm EST. My wife & I are hooked on it. Got RebeccaD recording 24 tonight as well, as they got me hooked on that. We'll have to get a DVR ourselves now, simply because we're hooked on two competing TV shows. I mean, you just can't watch enough TV, right?!

Yeah, I just caught up with your status on your thread. Nice having the free internet at PDX.

I was really disappointed with all of the airports that I was in over the past 3 moinths flying back and forth to CA. Not one of them had free wireless! Seem ridiculous. What a bunch of tight wads! Can't even provide free wireless for the folks in the airport waiting for their flight.

Anyway, have a safe trip!

btw, pretty cool getting to check out the F-15s!!!

They're tightwads for not providing free WiFi, and I'm a tightwad for not being willing to pay for it. Thankfully my layover in SanFrancisco is SO short that I won't have time to be concerned about pulling out my laptop ... I'm just going to be sprinting to my next gate to catch the connecting flight!

Yep! Tightwad here, too! Can't help it though... I don't make enough money as it is! Especially during the last 5 months that I started playing with cameras!!!

Well, I just received a 6 min. cut that Tim has been working on. It's looking good. I have been working on the long cut but have been on hold. I expect some footage via FedEx sometime today which will get me back on track!
