stuff seems to come and go really fast on the "dvx clips/stills" forum or w/e it is called so I thought I'd throw this up here to in hopes of some more comments.

I co produced, directed photography, and co-edited this film. We shot over 5 days with only five hours or so of filming a day... for just about $1000 total, most of the money going to the purschase of the letus 35a adapter and renting lenses. We had a crew of about 3/4 people really. Brad Directed (but also was acting) I was the DOP and handleing all the lighting and camera stuff alone, Nick who plays "nick" ha, also was helping and then we had diffrent people in and out every day booming (sound was the biggest problem for sure, we recorded right into the camera and I was the only person to listen and I had to handle lighting and camera too so it kinda got put on the back burner). The Letus also broke on day 3 or 4 of the shoot so we had to take off time to get a new one shipped out, I think thats about it haha. All in all it was a great GREAT learning expierence, I am 18 and Brad (director/writer) is 19 and this was deffinetly the biggest project was have tackled yet, and in making it we came to the realization of the importance of alot of things...like having a script supervisor....and having more then one people look at shots (see how many camera shadows you can catch...theres alot!). Any feedback on the film would be greatly appreciated!

Film Is Viewable at www.TurkeyDayMovie.com the medium and High resolutions should work perfectly, if your on a slower computer the Low res. should be up shortly...all though the others have been streaming pretty fast.

Hope you guys like it, and if not, I hope you take the time to tell me why.

THANKS!

:undecided sorry but it felt like i was watching a reality tv show rather than a film. the acting was good. Lighting could have been better than relying on a chandeliere above the table. Creative shots are nice, but it seemed like there was too much walking with the camera. all in all it could use a little more work.

Nice humor, great acting, you can definetly direct the actors well. Just the cinematography and camera operation that didnt seem to work.

Very nice film! Kind of selfish of him to bring this up and ruin everybody's dinner. Couldn't it have waited since he was faking all along? Ha. (just being sarcastic)

That's ironic -- as we were watching this last night I thought, "Wonder if this guy is on DVXUSer?" I liked that he gave kudos to his parents in the intro clips about the filmmaker... Was that you or your partner?

It REALLY reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite. The opening, the music, even some of the characters. Was that intended?

Not so much the story, mostly the opening and the music.

Ha, ha, I'm prolly the only one who feels this way, but I found that lens annoying :( ... it was like looking at everything through a fisheye.

Yay, I liked it. How many times have I wished my family would tell me, "there's a family out there for everyone...and someday you'll find them...it's just not us".

Nice acting and camera work - a bit uneven in just about every respect (that audio really got out of control at times). But, as often is the case, the story was what carried it on, and I was totally there for the story.

Nice job.
