Do you plan to buy a P2 card one of these days, but possibly cheaper ?
4Gig? 8Gig? 16Gig?
 Please strengthen our group buying power by adding your name. (Could always adjust later)

We got authorized by Jarred to try to make a P2 group buy.
This thread is just to build the members list with P2 quantity and region (US or Europe).
Even if you don't plan to buy a P2 short-term, please join with just your name to
strengthen our Group, as we plan to communicate as a User/Buyer Group, too.

I want to invest in P2 card after the NAB2007. I prefer 1 * 16 GB, Europe (The Netherlands) if it is available otherwise 1 * 8 GB card

i dont want to hijack this, but i think its import that you put some price on top that we aim for/negotiate for!

Otherwise it could happen that you collect the 100 orders, but people jump off when the price should change somehow.

So please lets try to set up something realistic here, like the 550€ (plus VAT) for a
8 GB card and maybe 1250 €(plus VAT) for a 16GB card?

I am not sure about the pricing, everything that gets cheaper is better, but we should have at least a certain price to go for..!

Just my two cents..!

I second what hvx_germanboy said. You will need to specify some sort of target prices to get people to sign up. Anyway, with prices mentioned before I'm sure in for a group buy. Probably one or two 8gb or 16gb.

It would be around USD725 with the 550€ target.

Our first goal is to build up the largest buyers group we can (US+Europe) because members number counts to talk to Pana.
I got a first name at Pana Europe (UK) this morning (could travel there).
And, as mentionned bove, Panasonic is more in challenge here, so it is an advantage to start from Pana Europe.

We won't promote cross-bordering, but first step first:

1 - Large group,
2 - Buyer Group inquiry to Pana Europe HQ
3 - Hopefully, a dialog; we'll start learning from there.
 
I mean grey markets like, when you purchase across the border.

We wish to defend a deal by region (US-US, Europe-Europe), but internet changed the rules. Amazon sells worldwide, no?

For clarification -- we do not endorse anyone sending large quantities of money to an unknown-to-them individual over the internet, whether for the purposes of a group buy or not. This activity is not endorsed or sponsored by DVXUser.

What we would recommend is that if someone wants to try doing a group buy, you can use the power of the internet and a forum such as this to gather interest, and then approach an authorized dealer and ask that dealer to give you a good deal. Then each member of the group should individually purchase directly from that dealer. Maybe the dealer gives the group leader a "discount code" that the group leader then passes on to the group members. All transactions should be between individual purchasers and authorized dealers.

Jarred and Barry PMed me giving the "go ahead", and we agreed that the money related transaction, if we arrive to this step (we are far from here), they would give their "green light" on the way to do.

Yes, it is probable that transaction would ressemble an individual purchase to a dealer with a "discount" code or something.

But, for now, it is complete speculation at this stage!

Everything here is done in complete agreement with them, if I well read my PMs.
