You may be able to with step-down rings, but have you thought about the LetusXL? They make one specifically designed for the Canon XL lens mount that involves not having to use the Canon's lens itself; you take the lens off and mount the LetusXL directly to the camera body using its included relay lens.
Thanks Barry I'll look into that, I really want to perfect this camera and then buy a lens to take it further I love the look of film but i'm not a film person. Hd and 35 adapters are good enough for me for any project.
I first picked up a mini dv camera and it's cheap for video/filmmakers to do what they love on the budget.
Just my personal opinion. I won't use film unless I'm forced.
