P2 won't show up on my laptop.....what am I doing wrong?

Hi .... when inserting the P2 into the card slot on my Powerbook....the card doesn't show up on my my desktop......it is recognized by the computer as seen in the tool bar.
what am I doing wrong?

I can't tell you specifically what may be different for a MAC, but here is the procedure you need to make sure you have followed on a pc. I would think it would be similar on a Mac.

First- Your card has to be clean. Format it in camera. Don't record anything on it.

Second- Your card has to be in the laptops pcmcia slot.

Third- With your P2 card in your laptop, install the p2 card bus driver (whatever it is called).

That should do it for you.

Yes and No.....uh....what I did and wasn't thinking when I did it was......I switched start up disks and one disk had the driver, the other didn't......thanks guys for making me use my brain for a few minutes. when you mentioned drivers installed...that was the issue.
